FORESTHILL OUTING REPORT: by Chas Moser
The TBSA contingent was well represented at Foresthill and basically filled up the campsite at the Sugar Pine staging area with eight rigs. We enjoyed the company of new members, Jerry and Sandy Stober, along with their son Brock. It was also nice visiting with Eric and Emily Baumgart, who came by to say hello. TBSA rode most of the lower trails with no problems other than a few slippery mud holes. The 25-mile main ride on Saturday ended up fairly short but challenging. The challenging part of the ride was the Trail 5 connector to Loops 5 and 6, which hadn't been cleared out yet. We were able to remove some of the smaller fallen trees and make our way around the larger trees. It took the riders two hours to reach the Foresthill Divide pavement, only to find that Loops 5 and 6 were still not traversable due to fallen trees!! Chas was more than a little disconcerted when one of the riders pointed out that the bolt holding on his KTM's countershaft sprocket had broken off!! Everybody enjoyed the potluck, with 18 people attending.
