From the Diablo Outing at Hull Creek - June 2007

Hull Creek Outing:   by Roger Jacobs

Just a little about Hull Creek. We had a great time, put on a couple hundred miles found lots of new trails. Sunday's ride of almost 40 miles linked most all the loops and added a new way back to camp. I would say Kelly Sipos was most improved rider. She picked up the clutch on a hill, with rocks, with loose dirt, shale. She can stop on any hill and take off with no problem. Karen did a great job on the WR250, 50-mile loop without missing a beat. Kate was doing great all weekend - kept everyone in sight.

Bob & Brenda brought a case of Brentwood sweet corn - Tasty - went well with Mark's salad. We had fish and steak, more food then we could eat. We found the Bourland Trestle and the railbed leading thru the woods.

We found that Dustin can get 40 miles and still have gas left on his 125RM. I got to see first-hand bushwhacker Joe Waller - no handguards, attacking the bushes and finding the trail. Cheri his wife did a good job herself making it all look easy. Our guests Robert and Ed came up for the day from San Jose and joined in thefun.

The camp hosts told us we can come back any time - best group they had in a long time.
