Georgetown - Mace Mill Staging Area
Facilities: None.
Directions: From I-80 at Auburn, take Highway 49 south to
Cool; go east on Highway 193 through Greenwood to Georgetown and follow the directions
below.*
- - OR - - From Highway 50, take Highway 193 north to Georgetown and follow the
directions below.*
*From Georgetown, turn east onto Main Street from Highway 193. Drive east approximately
7 miles on Main Street, which turns into the Wentworth Springs Road. Turn right on the
second Balderson Road intersection. (If you get to Bald Mountain Lookout Road, you have
missed it.) You will see a sign to turn right for the Mace Mill Staging Area. Drive
approximately 0.9 miles and turn left onto the Mace Mill Road. Drive approximately 1.2
miles down the Mace Mill Road.

27 miles (about 1 hour) South from the Georgetown campground
Go west on Wentworth Springs Road for about 9.5 miles.
Turn left onto Georgetown Road (route 193) and proceed south for 14 miles.
Turn left onto route 49 and go south about 0.8 mile.
Turn left onto highway 50 and go east about 0.4 mile.
Turn right onto Bedford Avenue.
Turn left onto Main Street.
Turn right onto Cedar Ravine Road.
Turn left onto Marshall Way (third street on the left).
The hospital is at the top of the hill on the right-hand side. |

32 miles (about 1 hour) West from the Georgetown campground
Go west on Wentworth Springs Road for about 9.5 miles.
Turn right onto Georgetown Road (route 193) and proceed west for 12 miles.
Turn right onto route 49 and go northwest for 10 miles.
In Auburn, route 49 turns right on Lincoln Way, then right again 1/4 mile later.
About 3.4 miles past highway 80, turn left onto Education Street. |
