Take your favorite route to Sonora. (Chas reports that Hwy.49 is 30 miles shorter than Hwy.99. Note that Hwy.49 by-passes many of the small towns now so that RV travel is no longer a problem.)
Drive through downtown Sonora* on SR 49 (Washington St.). Turn left/east on Hwy.108-Bus. (Mono Way). If you miss it, continue south less than a mile then turn left onto Hwy.108.

BUT, if you would prefer not to take your big RV down the very busy and narrow main street (So. Washington) of Sonora, here are a few other routes:
Head south on Hwy. 99; at Manteca, exit onto SR 120 east-bound. Stay on 120 ,jogging through Escalon and into Oakdale. Turn left (east) onto F Street, which is 108/120; continue E/NE on 108 until you pass the south side of Sonora and on to MiWok Village. (back to @other directions above)

About 6.3 miles after New Melones Lake, pass Mountain Brow Rd. and then turn right (south) onto Shaws Flat Road, which forks right into Jamestown Road; go about 4 miles south and turn left (east) onto 49/108.

Proceed east then northeast on Hwy.108, past Twain-Harte, to MiWok Village. If its a week day (8:00-4:30), you can buy a map at the Ranger Station at 24695 Highway 108 (209-586-3234).
From MiWok Village, continue northeast on Hwy.108 about 10 miles (passing Long Barn along the way). Turn left onto Forest Road 4N01 (aka Fraser Flat Rd. or Spring Gap Rd.) (Turn is at N 38 9.18', W 120 3.95') Forest Service says, "this is a steep and winding paved route where safe travel speeds average 20-30 mph".
Staying on the main road, proceed 7.25 miles to the Crandall OHV/camping area on the left (the first 4 miles are paved, the remainder fairly smooth dirt). (NOTE: Do not stop at Fraser Flat Campground (38 marked sites) because the fee there is $15.00 per night.)
Turn left onto Forest Road 4N88 and then an immediate sharp left into the camping area. Watch for TBSA signs. (Staging area is N 38 9.67', W 120 7.57')
(The closest hospital is in Modesto, so please STAY SAFE!)
